SUMMARY
The Business Development Executive (BDE) is a mid to senior sales position who serves as the primary relationship owner for targeted client accounts with responsibility for winning new deals and providing revenue growth. Primarily, the BDE must be a sales “hunter,” building new relationships and winning work from new contacts. He or she ensures that clients realize maximum value from our services. He/she finds new opportunities, identifies decision-makers, strengthens personal and professional relationships, positions the company favorably and works with internal resources to maximize the potential to win large deals. The Business Development Executive plays a critical role in the growth and goals of Arosa Solar.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Exceed sales target.
- Identify new leads / prospects.
- Build executive/owner level customer relationships for Arosa Solar with new potential clients.
- Navigate the complex process of contracting by identifying decision-makers and influencers.
- Proactively and efficiently leverage resources with dedicated teams and executive staff around opportunities to ensure successful outcomes for the jobs we want.
- Prepare and deliver effective client presentations, including stakeholders at all levels of the organization up to C-Suite.
- Build proposals that target and maximize profitability using Arosa Solar’s templates, tools and policies.
- Demonstrate talent as a sales “hunter.” Close deals.
- Deliver regular status and result updates to internal and external teams.
- Identify new and emerging markets.
- Manage multiple complex sales cycles simultaneously.
- Support collections if and when needed.
- Align the overall company solution to the customer’s business needs, challenges, and technical requirements.
- Build and maintain a consistently strong pipeline.
- Provide a consultative or educational sales approach to clients.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.
- Minimum of 3 years successful experience as a sales executive carrying an individual quota targeting new relationships and winning new clients
- Preferred experiences and accomplishments:
- Experience independently closing individual accounts with revenue over $250K.
- Average deal size at least $100K-500K
- Experience in solar or renewable energy and understanding of the industry is preferred but not required.

- Ability and experience selling to all levels within a client’s organization including ownership, senior executives, purchasing, and facilities managers.
- Strategically skilled in finding new business opportunities and key decision-makers using relationships, technical knowledge, and research.

- Experience managing and directing the entire sales cycle from beginning to close. Support post-sale service delivery as needed.
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding assigned annual/quarterly goals.
- Ability to improve a company’s closing rate on bids.
- Ambition. Experience working for a small company with a growth focus preferred. Willing to figure things out on your own, not waiting for exact instructions.
- Attentive to forecasting and business reporting responsibilities.
- Disciplined use of a CRM to record customer interactions, build a sales pipeline, provide accurate forecasts and tract sales progress.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong math skills.
