Regional Field Service Technician

Title: Regional Field Service Technician

Department: Sales / Service

Reports To: Regional Sales Manager

Purpose of Job:

1. Provide technical service support, preventative maintenance, and product testing.
2. Conduct operator training on maintenance, operation, and recommended parameters for cutting various materials.
3. Build and maintain business relationships within a territorial sales team.

Key Job Functions:

1. Solve end-user equipment problems through troubleshooting and repairs.
2. Educate end-users on band saw usage and blade maintenance.
3. Collaborate with distributors to establish relationships with end-users.
4. Continuously improve technical knowledge and share information with team.
5. Ensure job-related safety compliance.
6. Perform preventive maintenance on band sawing machines.
7. Conduct operator and maintenance training for customers.
8. Coordinate travel and service schedules efficiently.
9. Maintain accurate expense and service records.
10. Utilize customer database and Salesforce CRM.
11. Assist with projects as assigned by management.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to manufacturing facilities with safety requirements.
• Noise, dirt, coolant mist, extreme temperatures, sharp edges, and moving equipment present.
• Various travel conditions may include heavy traffic and weather delays.

Requirements:

1. Personality: Self-driven, results-oriented, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Able to travel within territory.
2. Personal Situation: Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
3. Job Skills: Mechanical aptitude, knowledge of band sawing machines and blades, basic computer proficiency.
4. Computer Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
5. Literacy and Math Skills: Ability to interpret technical data and calculations.
6. Business and Selling Skills: Business planning, sales expertise, and management potential.
7. Management Ability: Potential for growth in responsibilities.
8. Must have a valid driver’s license and passport.
