Position Overview:

The Outside Sales Representative is not just a role but a critical part of our growth strategy. By developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing contractors and MRO clients, this role is instrumental in our expansion. We're looking for a self-motivated individual who aligns with our core values of hard work, respect, and a no-nonsense approach to business. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and a deep understanding of the industrial market, particularly within the Gulf Coast region. As an Outside Sales Representative, you’ll be at the forefront of our mission, embodying the integrity, commitment, and excellence that define Troop Industrial and contributing significantly to our growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Current Client Retention and Growth: Maintain and nurture relationships with assigned clients, ensuring their needs are met with the highest level of service. Consistently engage these accounts, continuously strengthening trust and loyalty to ensure Troop attains optimum market share and profitability within those accounts.
  • New Client Acquisition: Identify and engage prospective clients within the Oil & Gas, LNG, and Renewable markets. Showcasing our range of industrial solutions, maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met with the highest level of service.
  • Pricing: Actively manage pricing and margins within prescribed guidelines for assigned accounts to optimize the volume/profitability equation.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets. This includes scheduling client visits, coordinating customer relations team building activities, conducting presentations, and negotiating contracts that reflect our straightforward and fair approach.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Use this knowledge to adapt sales strategies and recommend new products or services that align with client demands and market developments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the inside sales team, marketing department, product specialists, and vendors to ensure a seamless customer experience from initial contact through delivery and support. Foster a collaborative environment that mirrors our team-oriented culture.
  • Reporting & CRM Management: Diligently and faithfully track sales activities and client interactions using our CRM system. Regularly report on sales performance, client feedback, and market conditions, contributing to continuous improvement and growth.
  • Representation: You will represent Troop Industrial at industry events, trade shows, client meetings, and customer outings with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to our values. You will be the face of our company, embodying the principles of respect, honesty, and hard work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus five years of sales experience with a proven record of revenue growth. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Knowledge and experience in the Petrochemical, LNG, Renewables, and MRO market is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of the Gulf Coast MRO and Contractor market is required. A network of contacts in these industries is preferred.
  • Experience selling one or more of the following is highly desirable: Gaskets, Stud Bolts, Fasteners, Construction Products, Pipe, Valves, Fittings, or Fire Foam
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on building long-lasting relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts with a disciplined and results-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, ERP Software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
