Financial Controller

Department: Amplify Recruiting
Location: Fishers, IN

Summary:

The Controller role will work with the CFO and is responsible for administering aspects of the accounting and financial reporting functions. Which include such things as budget preparation, monthly financials, managing accounts payable, customer invoicing, external audit management, financial reports by product or business line, payroll and other projects as assigned.

Key job Functions:

  1. Prepare monthly financial statements and analysis.
  2. Preparation of annual budget.
  3. Manage payroll and benefits.
  4. Prepares monthly financial statements and analysis for the executive management team and Board.
  5. Preparation of annual budget with President and analysis of monthly departmental variances.
  6. Manage payroll and benefits.
  7. Performs accounts payable and accounts receivable functions and ensures accurate recording and processing.
  8. Customer invoicing and past due invoices management.
  9. Create and manage processes to support standard accounting functions.
  10. Analyzes and forecasts cashflow and other balance sheet accounts.
  11. Coordinates the annual external audit to ensure timely filings and regulatory compliance.
  12. Compliance and governance role that is responsible for and creating and managing internal controls to prevent fraud.
  13. Other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Requires 5+ years’ experience in an accounting and/or financial reporting role.
  • Proficiency in Excel required.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks required.
  • Demonstrates a good understanding accounting principles, month-end closing process, general ledger accounts, and basic financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flows).
  • This role has many responsibilities and must be able to juggle multiple things at once, have excellent time management skills, be organized and have the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Be a team player and support the team or find solutions to meet their needs.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to interact with all levels of staff across the organization and ask questions and for clarity.
